He briefly looked back at Saturday’s entertaining 3-3 encounter with Fulham and it was put to him that City are now the ‘Premier League’s big entertainers.
“Well we play good football,” smiled Sven. “For big parts of the games, almost all of the games, we are playing good football.
“Many games we’ve created a lot of chances, but not scored many goals, but at Fulham we created and scored.
“I wasn’t completely happy because I think we conceded goals a little bit more easily than we did in the past. But 3-3, if you look at the show, it’s better than 0-0.”
And with a hungry squad now all looking to play their part in the entertainment, the Manager admitted he will opt for a bit of squad rotation himself tomorrow evening.
He stated: “We are going to make some changes for the match, but we will have a very good team. We had players sitting on the bench on Saturday like Bianchi and Geovanni they will start the game.
“Geovanni has been injured in the beginning of the season, came in, but was then injured again.
“I think he came on and did very well on Saturday. With a little bit of luck he could have scored a goal. He looked very sharp.
“Bianchi had some problems to settle in, but I hope he will overcome that and shows us he’s the goalscorer we wanted to have here. I’m sure he will be, he works very hard in training.
Another player hoping to take his chance tomorrow is England Under 21 stopper, Joe Hart, fully fit now after early season problems and hoping to give the Manager some problems of his own.
“He will start the game tomorrow,” declared Sven. “I’ve always said, I don’t know who is our best goalkeeper at this moment. We have the two young boys and Isaksson is young as well.
“It’s very difficult and when you talk about goalkeepers it’s a very specialised position. You don’t change goalkeepers every week and you have to stick with them for a longer time because it’s a particular position on the pitch.”
As for the player Joe will replace in between the sticks, Sven said of Kasper Schmeichel, who celebrated signing a new contract this weekend: “He’s been doing very well so far and of course I’m happy about that.
“The other two are super fit now and with Joe Hart tomorrow he wants to show my coaches and myself that he should take the place of Kasper and that’s good. It’s healthy competition.”
