The 20-year-old has conceded just two goals since making his first team debut on the opening day of the season at Upton Park, and he was unlucky to finish on the losing side at Arsenal having saved a penalty from Robin van Persie.
The Danish Under 21 international’s progress over the last couple of seasons has included successful loan spells at Darlington, Bury and most recently Falkirk in the SPL.
Kasper exclusively told mcfc.co.uk: “It’s great to have everything put to bed now so I can concentrate on my football, I’m delighted. Everything’s gone well this season, so to get this sorted out as well is really pleasing.”
There was also praise for the rest of City’s goalkeepers from Kasper, who continued:
“Joe, Isak, Filip Mentel and Richard (Martin, reserve keeper) have been brilliant in the way that they’ve supported me. We all know how difficult the job we do is, there aren’t many people that know how goalkeeping can be. We need to support each other, we do that and Joe is probably my best friend here.”
City boss Sven Goran Eriksson adds, “Kasper has been very impressive since I came to City, and I’m delighted that he has committed his future to the club.”
