The defender’s thumping header, which turned out to be the winner against Spurs, came three-and-a-half years and 67 games after his debut against Arsenal.
It was also notable for being direct from a corner, something of a rarity for City this season and something Nedum accepts the Blues need to work on.
He says, “In years gone by we’ve probably had bigger players who’ve been more aggressive in the box, but now we’re more like a footballing side, so maybe that’s something we need to work on the training pitch.
“Personally, I’d like another as soon as possible please, not another four years!”
Nedum’s City goal was his second of the season, the first having come in the England Under 21 side’s 3-0 win over Montenegro last September - also scored with his head at a corner. He could not add another in the friendly against Poland on Tuesday night, which ended 0-0 at Molineux. Captaining the side, Nedum played all 90 minutes while City keeper Joe Hart played just the first half.
