The 19 year-old midfielder was delighted to have the opportunity to impress Roberto Mancini in the coming months, though he accepts a period out on loan is a distinct possibility.
“I was hoping to sort out a new deal so I’m really pleased to have everything in place ahead of the new season,” he said.
“I’m going to need to get some first team experience this year so hopefully I can get out on loan and then come back and see what happens.
“A good side in League One or the Championship would be perfect, but obviously I’ll be trying to impress the gaffer during pre-season, too.”
Tutte was an integral member of the Elite Squad who lifted the Manchester Senior Cup last May and was also a member of the 2008 FA Youth Cup-winning City team.
He’s been on the bench once to date, away to Middlesbrough in the FA Cup last January, and enjoyed the experience - now he’s hoping to get the chance to show City fans what he can do.

“I’ve been doing running over the summer and a bit of boxing training with my dad so I’m feeling good and looking to kick on this season.
“It’s going to be tough to force my way into the team because we have so many great players at the club so going out on loan is probably a logical step forward for me.”
Regarding Tutte’s style of play, for those who are yet to see the Liverpool-born youngster in action, he said: “I just like to get on the ball as much as possible and keep things simple. I study players like Xabi – simple passing and movement – I’d love to get the chance to do that in City’s first team at some point.”
