Bunn, playing only his second senior game for Rochdale since joining the Spotland outfit last week, collected the ball on the left wing before cutting inside and drilling a low shot past Preston North End keeper Thortsen Stuckmann.
That levelled the scores for ‘Dale but the Lilywhites went on to win the game 4-2 on penalties.
Scapuzzi, who joined Andreas Mancini at Oldham last week, had a frustrating debut against Bury last Saturday when he was substituted after just eight minutes following the sending off of the Latics’ keeper.
Against Crewe – also in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy – he got 75 minutes under his belt and tucked home his first for Paul Dickov’s side on 73 minutes as well as having a hand in Shefki Kuqi’s first in a 3-1 win.
Scapuzzi thought he’d scored for the Blues on his full debut against Wolves recently but his effort turned out to be an own goal after Dorus De Vries inadvertently knocked the ball over the line.
Like Bunn, he picked up the ball on the left before cutting inside and curling a shot into the top corner of the goal, earning high praise from his manager.
