City have already won at Wolves this season, easing past the side then managed by Mick McCarthy in the Carling Cup before following it up with a 3-1 win in the league a few days later.
Terry Connor must marshal his troops to a win on Sunday to retain hopes of remaining in the top flight, but is counterpart at City will be on his guard.
“Wolves may be bottom of the table, but it will be a hard game, and we have to play as well as we did at Norwich.
“I watched their games against Arsenal and United, and after they conceded goals they found it difficult but when they started they were playing at 100%. Because of that they are going to make it tough for us.”
City could start the game up to eight points behind title rivals United, who take on Everton earlier on Sunday afternoon. Mancini says he is relaxed about the result of that game, reflecting that mistakes and the recent absence of star striker Sergio Aguero had affected chances of landing the Premier League.
“We should go for our way only, I’m staying with my opinion about the title for the next few weeks, that it has gone.
“There were some mistakes, but when we lost Sergio for those two games that was a key moment. We drew those games, if we had had Sergio we would have a better chance.”
