Nasri has made an impressive start to 2012 and provided a number of assists as well as chipping in with a few important goals, too and he believes he is approaching somewhere near his best form.
“I’m feeling more settled and you will see a better Samir every week,” he said. “I was always confident about my quality and I think I will show that as we go along.
“I want to contribute to the team and return the faith shown in me by the people who brought me here. I think I just needed to play more often, which I’m doing now.
“At Arsenal I was playing a bit higher up the pitch, but at City I play a bit further back. I’ve never doubted I made the right choice in coming here and we are top of the league and still on course for the Europa League, too so I’m really happy.”
Nasri says City are determined to lift two trophies this season - and believes there could even be a showpiece final in Bucharest in May.
“We don’t have the Carling Cup or the FA Cup to aim for anymore, but we still have two competitions to win and we are trying to do that,” he said.
“We are a squad who are hungry for success and want to win titles. Some of us haven’t won anything before and that’s why we came to City. We have players who want to win trophies and achieve our dreams.
“Manchester United are contenders for both trophies, too, but we expected no less, but in the Europa League it isn’t all about City and United.
“There are many good sides such as Atletico Madrid left in the competition that have plenty of experience and will be a threat.
It would be a fantastic final if we had a Manchester derby for the final, but we haven’t even beaten Porto yet so we are only thinking of playing them

Nasri faced Porto twice with Arsenal, winning both games comfortably, but believes the current Porto side are stronger than the side he previously met a few years back.
“They are very dangerous, especially on the counter-attack,” he said. “We have an advantage but we need to be careful.
“They have more experience than the side I faced with Arsenal and have a different manager and players, so we know it is only half-time in this tie.”
