Pep Guardiola revealed he is planning to ring the changes, handing first-team minutes to those who have not received much gametime this season, such as Danilo, who continues his build up to match fitness after two months out with injury, Oleks Zinchenko and
Kevin De Bruyne is out after sustaining a lateral collateral ligament lesion in training, while Claudio Bravo is also unavailable, having sustained an Achilles tendon injury. The Chilean ‘keeper underwent scans, which confirmed a rupture in the tendon of his left foot.
Benjamin Mendy is also a doubt, having missed City’s recent matches with Fulham, Lyon and Cardiff with a foot problem.
Oxford
U’s manager Karl Robinson was only able to name six substitutes in Saturday’s home defeat to Walsall.
Marcus Browne (knee), Fabio Lopes (knee), Rob Hall, Simon Eastwood, Samir Carruthers and Jamie Mackie (hip) - who famously scored against City in the 3-2 triumph over Queens Park Rangers in May 2012 - are all unavailable.
Robinson has suggested he might rest some players for the match.

There have only been 13 competitive meetings between the two sides, taking place between January 1974 and March 1998.
City have emerged victorious on six occasions, while there have been two draws and Oxford have won five times.
The Blues last defeated the U’s in February 1997 with a 4-1 triumph. Georgi Kinkladze bagged a brace, while an Uwe Rosler strike and an own-goal completed the rout.

The pair last met in March 1998 with the U’s triumphing 2-0 at Maine Road.

“Danilo is coming back, Aleks [Zinchenko] and Brahim [Diaz], some players that played today are going to play because they need rhythm - Nico (Otamendi) played today but hasn’t played too much in the last month. We are going to use a lot of players.
“After in the knockout games, we want to improve on our mistakes we had in the past in knock-out games – to be more solid, avoiding mistakes and we’re going to try (to go for) it (in the Carabao Cup).”
