City: Pep Guardiola confirmed all of his squad, bar Fernandinho and Benjamin Mendy, are in contention.
While the majority of the City squad travelled to China, Hong Kong and Japan for the Club’s pre-season Asia Tour, clocking up valuable minutes, those who were in Copa America and Africa Cup of Nations action arrived later to pre-season training, following their summer breaks.
Guardiola explained that City’s South American and Algerian contingent are unlikely to start Sunday’s game, although they may be introduced from the bench.
Liverpool: Full-back Nathaniel Clyne has been ruled out for six months after rupturing his Anterior Cruciate Ligament against Borussia Dortmund.
However, midfielder Naby Keita and wingers Xherdan Shaqiri and Sadio Mane are back in contention having returned from injury and international duty respectively.

Goals from Kevin De Bruyne, Raheem Sterling and Lukas Nmecha saw the Blues finish their Asian tour with a classy 3-1 win over Yokohama F. Marinos at the Nissan Stadium.
De Bruyne’s opener was soon cancelled out from close range by Keita Endo, but the Belgian’s expert through ball sent through Sterling to coolly put us back in front just before the break.
The England winger thought he’d doubled his tally in the second half when he fired into the roof of the net, only for the goal to be ruled out due to Kyle Walker being in an offside position.
Nonetheless, an entertaining encounter was capped off by 20-year-old Nmecha, who fired home to confirm the win.
Liverpool rounded off their pre-season friendly programme with a 3-1 win over Lyon in Geneva.
Roberto Firmino and Harry Wilson were on the mark for the Reds, with those strikes sandwiching an own goal by Joachim Andersen.

City produced a magnificent performance to claw back within four points of leaders Liverpool following an absorbing 2-1 win at the Etihad.
A stunning first half-strike from Sergio Aguero set the champions on their way, before Roberto Firmino levelled midway through the second period.
But Leroy Sane had the final say with a 73rd-minute winner to settle a game that lived up to its billing and more.

• This is the first FA Community Shield meeting between Manchester City and Liverpool. The only other meeting between the sides at Wembley Stadium was in the 2016 League Cup final, with City winning 3-1 on penalties after a 1-1 draw.
• This is the seventh time in the Premier League era a double-winning side has faced the Premier League runners-up in the FA Community Shield. The previous season’s runners-up have won two of the last three (Arsenal v Manchester United in 1999 and Manchester United v Chelsea in 2010).
• This is City’s 12th appearance in the Shield, winning it five times including against Chelsea last year.
• City are unbeaten in our last seven games at Wembley Stadium (W6 D1) since losing to Arsenal in the 2017 Emirates FA Cup semi-final. We’ve only conceded one goal in those seven games, scoring 16.
• Sergio Aguero scored both of City’s goals in our 2-0 win against Chelsea in this fixture last year. He could become the first player to score in consecutive Shield matches since Adrian Heath for Everton in 1985 and 1986 (excluding own goals).
