Pep Guardiola revealed in his pre-match press conference that John Stones faced four to five weeks out after sustaining a muscular problem.
Aymeric Laporte (knee) and Leroy Sane (knee) will both miss the game for City, as long-term absentees. Phil Foden and Ian Poveda-Ocampo have not travelled to Ukraine, as they are not fully fit.
