Chelsea currently lead the Premier League on 31 points with both City and Liverpool close behind on 30 points from 13 matches.
However, that could all change on Saturday when Chelsea visit the Etihad Stadium for one of the biggest matches of the Premier League season so far.
Hazard believes City have a serious chance of lifting the trophy come May and if they do it will be largely down to his international teammate, Kevin De Bruyne.
Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: “Man City and Liverpool. They are both good. If we want to be there at the end, then we have to finish above them.
“He [De Bruyne] is a top player. He didn’t get his chance here at Chelsea, but did very well in Germany and since he went to City he’s been on fire.
“Sometimes you don’t get the chance to play, or the system the manager uses isn’t right for you, but now he’s full of confidence. I hope next week he’ll have less confidence!
“It’s good for Belgium that two players are fighting for the title in England, but I hope when we go to the national team we don’t fight! We’re good friends.”
Elsewhere, Gabriel Jesus won the Brazilian league title on Sunday night with Palmeiras ahead of his move to City and there has been lots of discussion about the 19-year-old’s potential to shine in Manchester.
FourFourTwo said: “When Manchester City announced the signings of Gabriel Jesus and Marlos Moreno in August, they had secured two of the brightest prospects in South American football.
While Moreno was immediately sent on loan to Deportivo La Coruna to aid his transition to European football, Jesus was allowed to remain at title-chasing Palmeiras until the end of 2016.
It has proved a wise decision. A superb four months mean the 19-year-old arrives at the Etihad Stadium an Olympic champion, an established member of Tite’s senior Brazil squad and now a Campeonato Brasileiro winner.
Finally, Yaya Toure is delighted to be back in the first team after missing much of the early period of the season.
As reported by the Daily Star, he said: “That’s why I stayed at City. The most important thing is to help the team and the manager, who is very intelligent, very strong tactically.
“He knows that this league is very difficult physically and mentally.”
That’s all for this morning’s round-up. We’ll have more throughout the day with a similar look back tomorrow morning on mancity.com!
