Gallery: Watford win sends City five points clear

Manchester City moved five points clear at the top of the Premier League after securing a crucial 2-1 win away at Watford.

Goals by Leroy Sane and Riyad Mahrez were enough to overcome a dogged Watford though City had to withstand a tense finale after Abdoulaye Doucoure’s 89th minute strike.

But the Blues were in imperious form for much of the evening at Vicarage Road with Mahrez impressing throughout and scoring a fine second half goal after Sane’s chested effort had given us a first half lead.

WATCH: City Beats Man City v Bournemouth

City made six changes in total from the side that beat Bournemouth 3-1 on Saturday but arguably produced an even better all-round display and in the end we held on to clinch a deserved victory.
