The winter cold is well and truly upon us, but Pep Guardiola’s men are in red hot form, and a win against Southampton would be our third at the Etihad in the space of seven days.

There is an element of déjà vu ahead of the game, given we faced the south coast side on Tuesday evening in the Carabao Cup.
A Nicolas Otamendi header and Sergio Aguero brace earned us a 3-1 win and a place in the quarter finals during midweek, and the team will be keen to put in a similar shift to continue their push towards the Premier League summit.
They are likely get the same kind of affection from the manager as Kevin De Bruyne received before today’s session if they can grab the win as well!
