Picture special: Leroy Sane back in full training

Leroy Sane returned to full training today for the first time since damaging the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during the early stages of our Community Shield win over Liverpool in Augu

The German has been training alone in recent weeks in a bid to increase his fitness levels after almost six months on the sidelines.

But earlier he took the next step on the road to recovery by joining in with the rest of the squad.

It was the perfect tonic ahead of Wednesday’s Carabao Cup semi-final second leg at home to Manchester United.

And, despite the icy winter weather, Pep Guardiola’s squad were in great spirits
