The Blues head into the mid-season break four points clear with six wins and a draw from seven, and they are yet to concede.
However, the Scotland international believes her side can improve further and is looking forward to proving so.
She told mcfc.co.uk: “One of the main things we’ve said this season is that, even though we’ve been winning, we don’t feel we’ve reached our full potential.
“We’ve been picking up results despite injury problems which is excellent and as soon as we have the full squad back together, hopefully, we’ll show what we can do.
Top is a brilliant place to be at this stage of the season but the job is only half done.
City signed off the first half of the campaign with a goalless draw at Liverpool. Such is their hunger and confidence, Nick Cushing’s side were not satisfied with a point and hope to return to winning ways at the earliest opportunity.
“We were disappointed not to get all three points at Liverpool,” Beattie admitted. “The winning streak had been great but credit to them, they made it difficult for us and a point is a point.
“We play them at home in our first game after the break. The first thing you want to do when you get a disappointing result against a team is to play them again.
We’ve got some internationals coming up now and then a bit of time off, and everyone will be ready for them.
Having been forced to watch on from the sidelines for parts of the campaign, the Scot also hopes her injury problems are now behind her.
“You’re always striving to be in your best condition,” she added. “It’s been great to be back with the girls - they’ve been playing brilliantly.
“It’s been a pleasure every time I’ve been on the pitch. There’s so much competition in our team now that we have to take each game as it comes.
“We’re playing well and we’ll regroup and go again.”
