NICK CUSHING PREVIEW

“It’s going to be tough over the next four weeks but they’ve show how professional they are.

“We planned a tough game against Everton and gone on to win and now it’s onto Sheffield United because we want to get into the semi-finals of the Continental Cup.”

LAST TIME OUT

Pauline Bremer continued her rampant goalscoring streak, as City moved level on points with Arsenal at the top of the FA Women’s Super League table with a 3-1 victory over Everton.

The German netted her 16th and 17th goals of the season with Gemma Bonner also on the scoresheet on a night of torrid weather conditions, as the home side clinched a vital win to extend our impressive 100% record against the Toffees with our 12th success and keep the pressure on the league leaders.

LAST MEETING

City cruised into the knockout stages of the 2018/19 Continental Cup with a comprehensive 6-0 victory over Sheffield United at the Academy Stadium in December 2018.

Cushing‘s side had all but sealed victory within the first half-hour following a Janine Beckie brace and a Jess Park tap-in.

Beckie added two more after the break with a Georgia Stanway penalty sandwiched in-between.
