The German centre-back, who made her debut in the league cup, helped the Blues to their first trophy in 2014 and hopes to add a second piece of silverware to the cabinet at the end of this season.
When asked of her ambitions for the remainder the campaign, she replied: “Scoring, scoring and scoring! And then winning, winning and winning!
“We want to be winning after 90 minutes. I don’t want us to keep saying we had a great performance, dominating the other team but not taking the three points.
“I want to win and I want to be higher up the table.
“I hope we can get all the way to the final of the Contintenal Cup and do well - that is the next aim - but I like to place more focus on the league.
“We want to have the best performances in the league because we want to bring ourselves in to the Champions League next year as a team and as a club.
“It is a slight disadvantage playing in the FA Women’s Super League because it is then the following year that we compete but that’s what we want and we will be disappointed if we don’t get there.
“It isn’t like there is a lot of pressure on us from the club to get there but every player wants to play in the Champions League.”
City restart their season on Sunday with the visit of Birmingham City Ladies to the Academy Stadium. The clash marks the third time the two sides will have met this year and also provides fans with the chance to welcome home the heroines of England’s World Cup success.
As a result, the club are close to breaking their attendance record. Manager Nick Cushing hopes the Blue faithful will turn out to show their support and do their bit to cheer the team on to victory against a side that would leapfrog them in the table with a win.
“The players love playing at home because they receive great support,” he stated. ”This club prides itself on the fact we’re all one big family and that in itself makes us unique.
“We’re feeling good – everyone’s fit apart from Keira Walsh – and I don’t think there’ll be tiredness from our international players. They’ve had six days to rest and we have a very good medical and sports science department here.
“Like we do in every game, we’ll go into it looking to win and cause the opposition some problems. We’ve played Birmingham a few times already this season so we know what they bring and we know how hard it is to play against them – they work very hard and defensively, they set up to stop teams from playing.
“We want to get the ball down and dominate possession and produce the attacking style of play we’ve shown already this season. Hopefully, we can come away with three points and climb up the table.”
