Five goals in six appearances so far in the tournament for the experienced French international puts her level with Camille Abily at the top of the club’s scoring charts.
The 27-year-old has been involved with all three of Lyon’s European triumphs since her arrival at the club in 2010 and her 132 caps for France tell the story of her quality.
Le Sommer can play as the focal point of the side but usually appears in a creative midfield role and the likes of Keira Walsh and Jill Scott will have to be constantly alert in order to nullify her.

Wendie Renard
The captain and domineering central defender of both Lyon and the French national side, Renard is the glue that keeps Lyon’s multi-talented squad together.
With 86 caps at just 26 years of age and 19 goals on the international stage, Renard could slide seamlessly in to almost any position on the pitch and still make a difference.
Lyon have conceded just three goals in their six matches so far in this year’s competition and Renard will be determined to keep City’s strike force out across the two legs.

In a move similar to Carli Lloyd’s arrival at City, USA superstar Morgan joined Lyon in January hoping to fire the French champions to yet more silverware in the closing months of the season.
The 2015 World Cup winner and 2012 Olympic gold medallist is, alongside Lloyd, a crucial cog in the United States team and has seen her talents propel her to celebrity status on the other side of the Atlantic.
Morgan, who has scored 73 goals in 125 appearances for the USA, will likely lead the line for Lyon and her quick thinking and composure in front of goal will present a genuine world-class test for City’s defensive line.
