The Blues lock horns with the Solihull outfit on Saturday evening in their first final in the competition.
Duggan bagged a hat-trick in Tuesday’s 3-0 FA WSL Spring Series triumph at Bristol, staking a strong claim for a place in the starting XI at Wembley.
The striker explained that fierce competition for places has kept Nick Cushing’s side firing on all cylinders.
Reflecting on the victory at the Stoke Gifford Stadium, the England star beamed: “I’m delighted.
“It’s been a pleasing night for the team to have got the win and the points we deserved and we’ve found our form.
“I have a tendency to put the ball in the back of the net here [in Bristol]. I’m happy with that – it’s my job.
“I’ve felt good and sharp in training and I’m pleased to have showcased it.
“When you get chances, you have to put them away. I felt I did that but the team is the most important thing.
“Obviously, I’m happy to have scored. I’m a striker and I want to be scoring goals but it was important that the team got the win.
“We’re off and running in the Spring Series and we have the FA Cup final at Wembley on Saturday so scoring three and keeping a clean sheet is important.”
She added: “It’s been a tough couple of weeks of games. We’ve been busy but we’ve shown we have strength in depth. Whoever plays can play a part.
“Any player wants to be involved and all the girls who have stepped in have showed that. We’re fighting for places.
“Some of the girls haven’t had many minutes in recent weeks but those that have played have stepped up to the mark.
“Competition for places is tough. It’s given Nick [Cushing] a difficult team selection for Saturday but that’s a positive thing for us – that’s what you want because it brings out the best on the pitch.”
Previewing the FA Cup final, Duggan expressed her excitement but warned it will be a stern test against a resilient side.
“I’m really looking forward to it,” she continued. “Any game at Wembley is a special occasion and adding an FA Cup final to that means there’s no better game to be involved in.
“We’re finding good form but it will be a tough game.
“Birmingham are a great team. They’re a different side now. [Manager] Marc [Skinner] has got them playing well and the league game last week was tough.
“It will be a good spectacle. We’ll be ready.
“We want to come away with that trophy and it’s important that we do.
“We’ve made it clear that we want to win every tournament we enter.”
