Parris bagged half of City’s goals as Cushing’s side marched away with three points to add to their newly opened FA Women’s Super League tally.
The boss had plenty of plaudits for the striker, who recently made her 100th appearance for the club, and praised her hunger and drive on the pitch.

“To get the four goals was excellent,” Nick told ManCity.com. “I thought Nikita Parris was brilliant - she was exceptional.
“I think Nikita’s best attribute is her drive, her desire and her hunger. She’s aggressive and she wants to win every single game – if it’s one-nil, she wants it to be two and if it’s two she wants it to be three.
“She had a great finish on both her goals and even though I’m sure she wanted the hat-trick, for me, her performance was exceptional.
“We know Everton are a very good team and it’s a difficult place to come, but we wanted to get control of the game and I thought we did that.
“We knew we needed that second goal to kill it off as Everton are always dangerous on the counter-attack and set pieces.
“So, to get that second goal and to go on and complete dominate the game is really pleasing for us.”
All three of Cushing’s substitutions, two of which joined this summer, created immediate impact by having a hand in each of the goals. Tessa Wullaert and Lauren Hemp set up two on the goals, while Claire Emslie bagged the fourth and final goal of the clash.

City are back in action at the Academy Stadium on Sunday 23 September as they take on Bristol City in the FA WSL.
