Seven City players are in the Lionesses squad, with Karen Bardsley, Steph Houghton,Demi Stokes, Keira Walsh, Jill Scott, Ellen White and Georgia Stanway all selected as England look to build on their bronze medal success of 2015.
They could come against club team-mate Caroline Weir who forms part of Shelley Kerr’s squad.
And Kerr says all the pressure is on England.
“We’re playing against a formidable England team, ranked third in the world,” she said.
“And part of the reason Phil Neville took the job was to win a World Cup, so it’s going to be a tough task.”
UK viewers can watch all the action on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
Meanwhile, Australia take on Italy at the Stade du Hainaut in Valenciennes and Brazil face Jamaica at the Stade des Alpes in Grenoble.
