Lloyd, who spent a loan spell in Manchester in 2017, continued her World Cup form where she left off, having played a pivotal role in her country’s third tournament success in 2015, bagging six goals overall in Canada, including a hat-trick in the Final against Japan.

Her efforts were rewarded with the Golden Ball for Player of the Tournament, Silver Boot and a Puskas Award nomination for her sensational 55-yard strike in the Final.
