The England shot-stopper has put pen to paper on a two-year deal, keeping her at the Club until the end of the 2020/21 season.
The 34-year-old – one of Nick Cushing’s first signings when the Club turned professional in 2014 – is two games away from making her 100th appearance and has played a pivotal role in our recent success.

Bardsley has helped City to two FA Cups, two Continental Cups, a league title and two Champions League semi-finals, producing some vital and stunning saves along the way.
Earlier this month, she made a brilliant stop to preserve our clean sheet in the FA Cup Final triumph over West Ham, having already starred in the Continental Cup Final success over Arsenal in March, saving two penalties in the shoot-out.
Bardsley hopes to enjoy more unforgettable moments in sky blue.
“I’m really excited to have put pen to paper,” she told CityTV. ”I’m really proud to be part of this organisation and it means a lot to have been here from the start. I’m over the moon.
“The thing I really like about this Club is that they stick to their word. When they say they’ll do things, they do it and they look to evolve in continuing to challenge perceptions and raise the bar in women’s football.
“That’s something close to my heart and I’m really happy and fortunate to be part of it.
“Personally, I think I’ve massively progressed. There have been a lot of opportunities that have arisen because I’ve been part of this Club. I can honestly say that this organisation has not only raised my profile but the profile of women’s football and there have been lots of opportunities to get involved in the community.
“I’ve even managed to do a Masters Degree during my time here and I feel that choosing the path I chose has allowed me to develop myself as a footballer and also as a well-rounded person off the back of those opportunities.
“I’m really looking forward to next season and everything that’s coming.”
Influential in City’s cup double-winning campaign, Bardsley believes the 2018/19 marked her best in terms of individual performance, adding she feels she is reaching her peak and in the best place to further continue her development.
“Every single year, I’ve improved and developed in different ways,” she reflected. “I just want to keep improving and I don’t see an end in terms of my personal development.
“In terms of my contributions to trophies and group, it’s been one of my best seasons.
“I’ve been given the opportunity to check and challenge a bit more as a senior professional - given more responsibility to make sure the team and the Club continue to head in the right direction.
“That’s something that really excites me and the way Nick and the coaching staff are, I know they will always continue to strive to become better themselves - on and off the pitch.
“Being here, you continually learn new things - technically, tactically, emotionally and so on - and I’m a sponge, looking forward to soaking it all up!
Boosted my her contract extension, the shot-stopper is eager to embark on another exciting chapter in her career.
“It’s a big weight off your shoulders (to have signed a new deal before the World Cup),” she continued.
“It’s a stress-reliever to know you’re secure and that the thing you had hoped to happen, happened, especially going into the World Cup.
“It means I can focus on the World Cup now, knowing that afterwards, there’s more to look forward to for a really great season ahead with a fresh approach to the 2019/20 season.”
