City striker Pauline Bremer believes her partnership with Ellen White has helped sustain her incredible form in front of goal.

The German’s hot streak in front of goal continued in midweek when she moved on to 20 goals this season with a hat-trick against Sheffield United in the Women’s League Cup.

And Bremer reckons she’s reached those dizzying heights because she and strike-partner White are on the same wavelength at the sharp end of the pitch.

Ahead of City’s away trip to Birmingham City Women, she said: “It’s brilliant to play with (Ellen White). I really like it.

“She’s a great striker and I think we kind of think the same – we always want to get in the box and get shots off.”

“I can learn a lot from her, and I think it works out quite well.”

Despite her incredible run in front of goal though, there’s no chance of Bremer resting on her laurels.

The forward believes her best is yet to come and has pinpointed what aspects of her game she’s been working on to become the finished article.

“I think I can improve massively. I’ve still got lots to come” the German international revealed.

“Defensively, maybe getting around a bit quicker and the change of direction, that’s from a physical point of view.

“But also, in the game technically and playing together with the team, there’s always areas I can improve, and I will.”
