Nick Cushing’s Manchester City kicked off a huge weekend for the Club in memorable style as his squad secured Continental Cup glory against Arsenal.
Just 24 hours before Pep Guardiola’s men take on Chelsea at Wembley in the Carabao Cup final, City’s women triumphed 4-2 on penalties at Bramall Lane after the sides had finished goalless after normal and extra time.
Goalkeeper Karen Bardsley saved two penalties in the shoot-out before Janine Beckie then despatched the final penalty to seal the silverware.
