And while Morrison still expects City to have too much for the hosts, he is anticipating a much tighter affair at Elland Road in Saturday’s 17:30 (UK) kick-off.
He said: “There will be significant changes in the sense of Leeds’ gameplan to man mark in certain areas.
“I thought it suited City when they came to the Etihad, we had better legs, better athletes and were technically better so we were able to create one v one situations and be superior.
“I expect a structured, deep block to try and catch us on the counter-attack, because if they try anything else they’ll get found out.
“They came to the Etihad and were really brave but left with their tail between their legs, and they will remember how painful that was. They won’t want that again.

“(But) when we’re at our best, we always have between 18 and 25 shots. If we get even ten of those on target and ask questions of the keeper, I think we’ll win games.
“If we’re sharp in the final third and our chances created result in goals, we’ll win the game.
“That’s not an arrogance, it’s a confidence because I’ve seen it. When we’re clinical nobody can beat us.”
City have already locked horns with a Jesse Marsch outfit this season, when we faced his RB Leipzig side in our Champions League curtain-raiser back in September.
Guardiola’s men came out on top in a thrilling match under the Etihad Lights, with Jack Grealish’s first Champions League goal helping us to a 6-3 victory.
And while Morrison believes Marsch has adapted his style following that encounter, he has called for City to simply focus on our own performance.

“Once you’ve been damaged in that situation you can’t help but learn from it, and you would be naïve to think you can go up against a team of City’s quality and expect to change that,” he explained.
“We’ve seen so many teams this year try different formations to stifle our total possession and the way we play and they have come up short.
“He’ll believe and the Leeds players will believe that they can cause us problems but if we go about our business the right way, I still think we’ll have too much for them.”
Saturday’s showdown represents our first visit to Elland Road to play in front of supporters since 2004.
But Morrison is confident that the players will be able to handle what promises to be a lively atmosphere, pointing to the manner in which we negotiated a difficult Champions League quarter-final tie at the Wanda Metropolitano.
He said: “When you’ve played Atletico Madrid away in a quarter-final, I don’t see any atmosphere anywhere that will affect City now.
“There will be an inner strength where they’ll know that no matter how difficult or hostile it gets, they had the quality to come through a mammoth task as they did in Spain.
“I don’t think this weekend’s atmosphere won’t faze them in any way.”
