PREVIOUS MEETING
Our last home encounter with Chelsea was in May 2023, where we went into the match knowing a third Premier League title in three seasons was already secured after Arsenal’s defeat at Nottingham Forest earlier in the weekend.
Julian Alvarez got the only goal of the day with a fine finish after just 12 minutes, making it 12 Premier League wins in a row and 24 games unbeaten across all competitions.
In the reverse fixture at Stamford Bridge this season, we played out a Premier League classic which ended 4-4.
LAST TIME OUT
In our last league fixture, two superb second half strikes from Erling Haaland helped deliver a 10th successive win for City over a stubborn Everton at the Etihad.
On Tuesday night, we secured a 3-1 UEFA Champions League Round of 16 first leg victory over FC Copenhagen at Parken Stadium, thanks to goals from Kevin De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva and Phil Foden.
As for Chelsea, they put in a spirited performance to come from a goal down to beat Crystal Palace 3-1 at Selhurst Park last Monday.
