OPPOSING MANAGER - DANIEL FARKE
The German began his playing career with hometown club SV Steinhausen but went on to spend a majority of his playing days with SV Lippstadt, playing for them in three different spells across his career.
After retiring, Farke remained with Lippstadt in a coaching role before also coaching Borussia Dortmund II.
However, Farke’s most significant role came in England with Norwich City from 2017 until 2021, winning the Championship title twice in that time for the Canaries, before being dismissed from his role in November 2021 after losing a record-breaking 15 successive Premier League games.
Farke returned to his home country to take charge of Borussia Monchengladbach where he had one season, before returning to England in July 2023 to manage Leeds, where he lost in the Championship play-off final in his first season, before winning the league last season with 100 points and returning to the Premier League.
DANGER MEN
Leeds are a huge threat from set-pieces and that is largely down to the impressive aerial ability of defender Joe Rodon.
The Welshman already has two Premier League goals this season and Farke’s men will try to make the most of any opportunity to get the ball into the box and towards Rodon, so avoiding giving away corners and free-kicks close to the box could be key.
Leeds also possess plenty of pace in attacking areas so could look to sit back and counter-attack using the pace of the likes of Noah Okafor, Daniel James and Brendan Aaronson.
At the top end of the pitch, Dominic Calvert-Lewin is an experienced Premier League forward and despite not being in prolific goalscoring form, the striker is a physical presence and enjoys a physical tussle, so, if selected, he could look to make life difficult for our backline.
Team News
Returning are Gianluigi Donnarumma, Matheus Nunes, Josko Gvardiol, Ruben Dias, Nico O’Reilly, Bernardo, Phil Foden, Jeremy Doku and Erling Haaland.
Only Nico and Tijjani Reijnders retain their starting berths against Leeds United, with everyone bar Oscar Bobb dropping down to the bench.

PREVIOUS MEETING
Ilkay Gundogan scored two first-half goals as City saw off Leeds 2-1 at the Etihad back in May 2023, marking our 10th successive Premier League win at the time and moving us four points clear of Arsenal at the top of the table.
LAST TIME OUT
City fell to a slender 2-1 defeat away to Newcastle United in the league last Saturday, with a Harvey Barnes double doing the damage.
We were in midweek UEFA Champions League action, where we fell to a 2-0 home defeat to German Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen.
As for Leeds, they also lost 2-1 last weekend, with Aston Villa coming from a goal down to secure three points at Elland Road.
