We go back to April 1992 and a game where City threatened to scupper Leeds United’s title chances and hand an advantage to Manchester United.
The final season before the top-flight became the Premier League, Leeds were battling it out at the top of the First Division with United.
With six games to go, they made the trip to Maine Road desperate for three points against a City side flying high in the top-six of the table.

And our striking duo of David White and Niall Quinn were in blistering form and would finish the season with 21 goals and 14 goals respectively.
In the build-up to the encounter, United boss Alex Ferguson had claimed that City would not want to win and therefore help his side end a 25-year wait for the title.
However, the Blues were ahead inside 11 minutes with a brilliant header from a corner from Yorkshire-born Andy Hill.
Mike Sheron then rounded off a superb sweeping move to put us two-ahead before the break.
Leeds pushed hard to get themselves back into the game with goalkeeper Tony Coton in top form before visitors’ hopes were dashed by a moment of magic from Niall Quinn.
Known as a target man, the Irishman scored some wonderful goals for City and perhaps none were better than our third on that day.
The number nine squared up defender Chris White by the corner of the box before curling a delicate chip over John Lukic and in off the underside of the crossbar.
It was a moment of elegant perfection that killed off any thoughts of a comeback before Mark Brennan got the final goal in a 4-0 victory.
The win did give United hope of claiming top spot, although three days later we dented them with a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford thanks to a Keith Curle penalty.
