It was stalemate at Westfalenstadion, which meant we go through first and Dortmund second from Group G.

As Pep Guardiola said in his post-match press conference, both teams were happy as City and Dortmund progressed to the last 16 of the Champions League.
But it’s definitely seen as an advantage for us to be on the summit of the table.
The last 16 draw features the winners and the runners-up from each of the eight Champions League groups.
Two seeding pots will be formed: one consisting of the eight group winners (seeded teams) and the other of the eight runners-up (unseeded teams).

The round of 16 draw is scheduled for 11:00 (UK time) on Monday 7 November at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland.
Under Guardiola’s seven seasons in charge of City in the competition, we’ve finished top of the group six times and second once – that was in his first campaign of 2016/17.

Our progression through to the last 16 of the 2022/23 Champions League means we have made it through to the knockout stages an impressive 10 seasons in a row.
In the Guardiola era, we have reached one Final, one Semi-Final, three Quarter-Finals and a Round of 16.
Guardiola will now be waiting patiently to find out who we face in the latest Round of 16.
Prior to Guardiola guiding City in the UCL, we reached the Round of 16 twice under Manuel Pellegrini before reaching the Semi-Final in 2015/16, losing out to eventual winners Real Madrid 1-0 on aggregate.

Nathan Ake was selected as our Man of the Match for the draw in Dortmund.
Ake was cool and calm throughout and part of a backline that enjoyed a clean sheet against the eight-time German Bundesliga champions.

He’s known for his progressive, assured displays with the ball at his feet.
And the figures shown by the classy centre-half back that up.
He produced most passes with 147, with a 96% pass success rate – and he also had most touches with 158.
FINE RUN
City are now unbeaten in 16 of our last 17 Champions League games against German opponents.
In that time, we’ve won 14 – Borussia Monchengladbach (5) Borussia Dortmund (3), Schalke (2), Hoffenheim (2), Bayern Munich (1) and RP Leipzig (1).
We’ve drawn two – Dortmund (1), Monchengladbach (1) and lost just once.
