March was a rollercoaster of a month, with two Premier League draws, a Champions League exit at the hands of Real Madrid, progression to the FA Cup quarter-finals and a superb Carabao Cup triumph over Arsenal.
Here are our trio of nominees…
Abdukodir Khusanov
Kodir Khusanov only turned 22 in February, yet he plays like a defender who has 250 Premier League appearances under his belt.
Our Uzbek centre-half has been outstanding whenever called upon this season and just seems to get better with every passing game.

The timing of his tackles is superb, as his reading of the game and ability to intercept danger.
UZBEK WARRIOR: THE ABDUKODIR KHUSANOV STORY
But it is his incredible speed that has become so vital to our back-line – the sort of pace we haven’t seen since Kyle Walker’s departure.
He has more than held his own against some of Europe’s best attacking talents during March and is an outstanding prospect.
He won January’s Etihad Player of the Month – can he do it again for March’s award?
Jeremy Doku
Another strong contender for March’s prize.
Jeremy Doku has been at his sparkling best throughout the past month.
Our Belgian winger featured in all six games and was at his tormenting best in the Carabao Cup final against Arsenal as well as giving the Real Madrid defence a testing time – particularly during a mesmerising second leg.

A born fighter, Doku never strops trying and gives his all whenever selected – and he has become one of European football’s most feared attackers in the process.
Can Doku take the March award?
Rodri
Back to somewhere close to his imperious best in March, Rodri has been like a steam train gathering momentum throughout the campaign.

The Spanish anchorman has been dictating play and setting the tenor for his team-mates, no more so than during perhaps his best performance of the season against Arsenal at Wembley.
He looks set for a strong finish to the current season, with his understated midfield dominance edging ever closer to the levels he demands of himself.
Another strong contender.
