City have already achieved the domestic double after success in both the Carabao Cup and FA Cup, with the Premier League crown also potentially still up for grabs with just two matches remaining.
Ahead of 2025/26’s exciting finale, we’ve whittled down the longlist to a top trio courtesy of the thousands of votes cast by our fans.

JEREMY DOKU
If you need a man for the big occasion, look no further than Jeremy Doku.
The winger has had a season to remember in 2025/26 and always seems to come alive when the stakes are at their highest.
Doku assisted Phil Foden and Erling Haaland in our 3–0 September win against city rivals Manchester United before a Player of the Match display in November’s 3-0 home victory over Liverpool, scoring the third goal in his 100th appearance for the club.
In April 2026, Doku came off the bench in the FA Cup semi-final against Southampton to bag the equaliser and then assist Nico Gonzalez for the winner as we reached a record fourth successive final in the competition, which we eventually won 1-0 over Chelsea.
Then earlier this month, the 23-year-old scored both goals in a 3-3 draw away at Everton, including a last-gasp leveller that kept us in the Premier League title race.
This is Doku’s best season at City in terms of goal involvements in all competitions (19 – 8 goals, 11 assists) while he has both attempted (155) and completed (82) the most dribbles in the Premier League this season, with his 53% success rate the highest of any of the 14 players to have attempted 100+.
Doku also won September’s Etihad Player of the Month award as he now sets his sights on the seasonal gong.
ABDUKODIR KHUSANOV
Abdukodir Khusanov has enjoyed a brilliant breakthrough 2025/26 season.
Khusanov joined City from Lens in January 2025 – with the help of Txiki Begiristain – as we looked to shore up a defence that had been beset by a frustrating amount of injuries.
The Uzbek centre-half had a tough start to life in the sky blue against Chelsea on his debut but, much like City in that game as we recovered to win 3-1, Khusanov has clicked through the gears to become a true Rolls-Royce centre-half.
The 22-year-old’s chief weapon is pace, showing Olympic style speed to avert danger in the Blues’ backline.
But he also boasts tough tackling and astute awareness on the football pitch, attributes that have seen him make this final three list for Player of the Season.
Pep Guardiola has certainly been impressed with his development, calling him a ‘top signing’, someone who’d been on the club’s radar for some time before we purchased him and a ‘special player who is so coachable’.
He’s made 33 appearances this term, including starring displays in both our Carabao Cup and FA Cup triumphs, his first trophies with the Blues.
Of late, he’s formed a formidable partnership with January recruit Marc Guehi with the pair giving us a platform to push for the Premier League title, on top of our double domestic cup delight, as we enter the final week of the season.
Khusanov also won Etihad Player of the Month awards for January and March.
NICO O’REILLY
It’s been a true breakthrough season for Nico O’Reilly for both club and country.
For City, he’s excelled in the left-back role for much of his classy campaign although the versatile ace has also played in his more natural central midfield position to great effect too throughout a season to remember.
The term started well off the pitch as the Academy graduate penned a new five-year deal with the Blues, a contract that will see him remain at the Etihad until at least 2030.
The highlight of the season on the pitch undoubtedly arrived in March when he was Player of the Match in the Carabao Cup final win over Arsenal.
Facing the Gunners in the first big major showpiece of the season proper, O’Reilly scored a quickfire brace to ensure a 2-0 win for the Blues in front of 100,000 fans at Wembley Stadium.
Talking of Wembley Stadium, O’Reilly also made his England senior team debut during a 2–0 win over Serbia at the national stadium in November 2025 after receiving his first call-up to the Three Lions the previous month.
This season, to date, the 21-year-old has played 49 times for the Blues and scored nine goals, including his first in the Champions League in a 2–1 victory over Real Madrid at the Bernabeu in the League Phase.
Overall this season, O’Reilly has contested more duels (331) and made more tackles (68) than any other City player in the Premier League.
And with nine goals and six assists in all competitions, only four City players have more goal involvements in all competitions than O’Reilly this season – Erling Haaland, Rayan Cherki, Jeremy Doku and Phil Foden.
O’Reilly also won Etihad Player of the Month awards for February and April.
