The Brazilian had been sidelined with a muscle problem since scoring in our opening game of the season away at Wolves, but came off the bench and smashed home a fine strike as we won 3-0 against the Greek champions to extend our lead at the top of Group C.
It was an explosive return for the striker, who says he was delighted to be back in action - but admits he may need some time to find his full match sharpness.
“I feel so good,” he said. “I feel confident. I came back strong.
“Of course, I need time and a few minutes to get my physical condition back and my energy. But I am so happy to play ten minutes and help the team.
“We played so good. We have won three out of three in the group, that’s good for us. Nine points and we are top of the group stage. We are very happy.”
During Jesus’ absence from the side, Sergio Aguero has also found himself on the treatment table.
It has left Pep Guardiola with limited options upfront and in the last three matches he has opted to play Ferran Torres as our central striker.
It’s an unusual role for the 20-year-old, who has spent much of his career playing in wide areas, but he has been superb, delivering three impressive performances and scoring two goals.

Jesus says it’s great for the team that we have unlocked another attacking solution.
“It’s good for the team,” he said. “It’s good to have so many good players in the group.
“Everyone can play and it’s good because the quality is high. It’s great for the club to have options.”
City face Liverpool on Sunday in arguably the biggest game of our season so far.
Last season’s champions, who currently lead the Premier League, reman the team to beat.
And Jesus says if we want to reclaim our Premier League crown, these are the games we have to win.
“Every game is important,” he said. “Of course, we talk about a Premier League game like Sunday against Liverpool against first in the league, it’s good because we have to play good and win the game.
“If we want to win the Premier League again, we have to win this kind of game.”
