The Argentine, fresh from penning a contract extension that will keep him at Manchester City until 2028, believes the Norwegian goal-machine will continue to add to his tally in the coming weeks and months.
He also says he isn’t the slightest bit surprised by Haaland’s start to life in England.
“He’s incredible, I’m not revealing anything new,” smiled Alvarez.
“What he’s been doing for years now, in every club he played for, is score an amazing number of goals.
“Here at City, he’s helping us so much. Now he’s on almost 40 goals, I don’t know how many games (there are) left, but if he keeps his goal-per-game average, he can score another 15 or 20, easily.”

Asked which team-mates had impressed him the most since arriving at the Club, he added: “All of them! To be here at the highest level, all of them must have great qualities.
“But if I have to pick some, I would say Bernardo [Silva] or Kevin [De Bruyne]. I was pretty surprised (at how good they are) from day one.”
With 10 goals in all competitions so far this campaign, the 23-year-old has settled into life at City incredibly well.
The World Cup winner says being content off the pitch as well as on it, has been vital on his transition to a new country.
“I think it’s not just my game, but also my personal life,” he said.
“A lot of people at the Club, the coaching staff, helped me since my very first moment here.
“The weather was something a lot of people mentioned about this country and this city.
“But, as I always say, I try to adapt to everything. I miss the warm weather and the sun a bit, but I like it here, too.
“When I have some time off, I try to relax, I like to spend time at home with my family, enjoying these moments, talking to some friends, and having good conversations.
“My goals for the remainder of the season are being there, helping the team when I have my chance, giving everything that I have to keep growing as a person and as a player, and outside the pitch too.”
