Nathan Ake and Ruben Dias are the other two players added to the side.

We can expect the familiar 4-3-3 again.
Ederson will be protected by a back four of Manuel Akanji, Ruben Dias, Nathan Ake and Joao Cancelo.
Cancelo starts on the right with Ake on the left, while Dias and Akanji will be the central defensive partnership.

Phil Foden will play on the left wing and Bernardo Silva on the right in support of central striker Erling Haaland.

Guardiola has elected for a solid base in midfield with both Rodrigo and Gundogan there to keep the ball against the usually energetic Liverpool side.
That is a key area of competition in fixtures against Jurgen Klopp’s side, so the boss will be looking for those two to dominate before supplying the ball further forward.
Higher up the pitch will be Bernardo Silva, who will aim to use his world-class dribbling ability to push the hosts back and weave his way out of any situation with the ball at his feet.
Always a willing runner, Bernardo will also be of great help to Manuel Akanji behind him on the right flank.
