The final day of the campaign saw City’s shining stars hailed for their impressive contributions, as Ederson grabbed the Golden Glove, Kevin De Bruyne scooped the Playmaker of the Year and Raheem Sterling completed his best scoring season as the Club’s top marksman.
In addition, Pep Guardiola’s men chalked up 100+ Premier League goals for the third time, finishing as the league’s top scorers for the seventh time in the past 10 seasons.

Our 5-0 triumph over Norwich ensured we bagged 102 strikes – 17 more than Champions Liverpool – whilst nudging Sterling closer to 100 goals for the Club and securing Ederson’s shut-out success with our 17th (and the Brazilian’s 16th) clean sheet.
Earning his second Playmaker prize in three seasons with his 20th assist of the campaign against the Canaries, De Bruyne equalled Thierry Henry’s 17-year Premier League record, having also become the first player to register 15+ assists three times in the competition.
To put that statistic into perspective, fellow midfield maestro David Silva provided ten Premier League assists in 2019/20 – level with Liverpool’s Mo Salah and Tottenham’s Son Heung-Min, and one ahead of Riyad Mahrez.
The fastest player to have reached 50 in the history of the Premier League, De Bruyne created the highest number of big chances with 33, crafting a season-high number of through-balls (32).
Alongside summer recruit Rodrigo and shot-stopper Ederson, the Belgian was also one of City’s top Premier League appearance makers with 35 – one more than Gabriel Jesus and Bernardo Silva.
Unsurprisingly, Ederson tallied the highest number of minutes played for the Club with 3,072, while De Bruyne clocked the second-highest with 2,798 and Sterling notched 2,660.
Of City’s superb 102 league strikes, 18 arrived from outside of the box and 20 were netted by Sterling, who completed the campaign with a personal best 30 goals in all competitions, including the Community Shield strike against Liverpool in the season’s curtain raiser.

The England star finished three goals shy of Golden Boot winner Jamie Vardy but one ahead of Mo Salah, and two clear of Harry Kane and Sadio Mane.
Meanwhile, Gabriel Jesus led the way with City’s highest number of shots, firing 101 efforts (of City’s league-best 745) goalward – the third-highest in the league – with Sterling and De Bruyne tied on 99, alongside Roberto Firmino. Of our Brazilian forward’s 101 attempts, 48 were on target.
Guardiola’s men also delivered the highest number of crosses with 914 and needless to say, almost a third (304) of those were whipped in by De Bruyne.
Astonishingly, City struck the woodwork a total of 27 times – ten more than second-placed Liverpool – with De Bruyne (6) unfortunate to finish joint top of the standings; one unsuccessful strike ahead of Sergio Aguero.
Always seeking to dominate possession, City executed a league-best number of passes (26,329) and touches with 33,242 racked up in total.
An impressive debut campaign saw Rodrigo finish second in the individual passing stats with 2,579. The Spaniard also registered 2,916 touches (the most in City colours) and the joint-highest number of City tackles – level with Fernandinho with 50.
Guardiola’s men also dominated the set-piece statistics, netting five free-kicks and delivering 298 corners.
