Our all-time leading scorer was the subject of a late challenge towards the end of Sunday’s Carabao Cup final with Aston Villa and limped off six minutes from time with an ice pack around his leg.
But, speaking at his pre-match press conference ahead of Wednesday night’s trip across the Pennines, Guardiola confirmed that Aguero had suffered no lasting effects.

“Sergio, he’ll be okay for tomorrow,” the City manager confirmed who also added that Claudio Bravo would retain his place in goal for the trip to Yorkshire.
“But Leroy is not ready. After six months out, it’s a process.

“But the FA Cup is always difficult for the fact it’s so important for the country for all the clubs in England

“We need to be incredibly focused.”
