“I don’t remember against Thomas Frank – a person I admire unbelievably - an easy game against Brentford,” Guardiola said.

“Since they’ve been promoted I don’t remember it. Always it’s been tough here and there. They’ve changed their shape a little bit and I had the feeling they play a little more in a style like when they were in the Championship.

Our most recent encounter with Brentford came in February where we won 1-0 at the Etihad Stadium en route to the 2023/24 Premier League title. 

Erling Haaland’s 71st minute shot marked the only goal of the match before full-time, handing City our 17^th league win at that point in the term. 

LAST TIME OUT  

Erling Haaland maintained his impeccable start to the season securing his 11^th hat-trick for City - helping us to a 3-1 victory against West Ham United last time out.

Pep Guardiola’s side took the lead only 10 minutes into the match which was soon followed by a Ruben Dias own goal to draw the hosts level.

The Norwegian soon struck again in the 30^th minute, quickly restoring our lead before finishing it off by firing home once more before the final whistle, representing an impressive 24th career hat-trick.
