April is shaping up to be, arguably, the most important month of the season yet for City. Alongside defining games in the Champions League and FA Cup, there is a slew of Premier League fixtures this month.
And our reliable goalkeeper Ederson has his eyes on obtaining more silverware, with the eight assignments for the remainder of April leaving little margin for error.
But the Brazilian is feeling good about not just his life on the pitch, but also off the pitch.
“It has been six years here already and my life has changed a lot, both professionally and personally,” began Ederson.
“At the club we have the same score group of players. I know a lot of the legends have left such as [Sergio] Aguero, [Vincent] Kompany, Yaya [Toure], Fernandinho, David Silva, they all helped make a really beautiful history for us and we won titles together. The club still has the same ambition.”
The 29-year-old has won four Premier League titles, four EFL Cups, one FA Cup and two Community Shields since joining City in 2017.
And he has also found success off the pitch, building a family in Manchester being a big positive for the goal keeper.
“We have won a lot of titles, but we still want to win a lot more. My life has changed on an individual and personal level than professional. My family keep growing and all my children were born here and everyone is really happy in the city of Manchester,” Ederson continued.
“Everything is really positive and both professionally and personally, I am really enjoying my time here in Manchester.”

Ederson, who has won the Premier League Golden Glove for three consecutive seasons, recently chalked up 100 clean sheets in the top-flight and will be looking to add more this weekend.
Pep Guardiola’s team travel to Southampton on Saturday 8 April, with kick-off at St Mary’s scheduled for 17:30 (UK).
“I was really happy to achieve this milestone,” said Ederson.
“I actually saw the graphic a couple of days after the match and the team congratulated me on the record. To be able to do this in the best league in the world is really difficult, so I am really happy to be able to achieve it and I’m going to keep working for a lot more clean sheets.”
City’s other Premier League fixtures this month, against Leicester City, Arsenal and Fulham, are separated by our Champions League semi-final legs against Bayern Munich and our trip to Wembley where we take on Sheffield United in the semi-finals of the FA Cup.
And with the 4-1 win over Liverpool extending City’s unbeaten run to 12 games in all competitions, Ederson reflected on how the positive performance has given City confidence for the remainder of the season.
“It was a brilliant game on the weekend. Lots of people were saying that Liverpool didn’t play that well, but I just think the truth is that we didn’t let them play very well,” Ederson explained.
“We controlled the game from the start to finish and of course that is really important for the confidence moving into the rest of the season.
“The team is confident at the moment and we are a team that keeps stepping up in terms of level and those big games are really important as morale boosters. They really help the team with the confidence for the rest of the season.”
