Our victory at Newcastle on Friday evening was our 12th away league win in a row, eclipsing the previous record of 11 held by Chelsea (2008) and ourselves (2017).
It’s another remarkable record in a season that goes from strength to strength.
The 13 league victories we chalked up between January 3 and March 2 of this year represents the longest sequence of wins from the start of a calendar year.
And our 21 consecutive wins in all competitions between December and March saw us set another new English topflight record.
That sustained run of excellence also helped see Pep Guardiola’s squad equal our Club record run of 28 games without defeat between November 25, 2020 and March 2, 2021 matching the tally we achieved between April and December in 2017.
Our victory at St James’ Park comes just three days after we were crowned Premier League champions for the third time in four seasons.
Congratulations to Pep, his backroom staff and all the players on yet more evidence of their sustained brilliance.
