Pep Guardiola’s men have enjoyed a strong start to the new campaign, currently sitting top of the Premier League as the only side with a 100% record after five matches.
We began our defence of the UEFA Champions League with a convincing 3-1 victory over Red Star Belgrade on Tuesday, with a Julian Alvarez brace and Rodrigo strike enough for the three points.
And to top it off, City were also named Super Cup winners following a penalty shootout triumph over Sevilla in August.
Next up for Pep Guardiola’s side is another league clash against a Nottingham Forest side who themselves have begun the new campaign in impressive fashion.
Having finished 16th in their first Premier League campaign since 1998/99 last year, Steve Cooper’s side currently sit 8th in the table ahead of their trip to the Etihad Stadium.
It promises to be an exciting clash but, before Saturday’s showdown, the players took the time out of our meticulous preparations to capture this season’s official squad photo.
There were plenty of smiles on show as the team got ready for the shot, with the players also joined by the entirety of Pep Guardiola‘s backroom staff; a further indication of the collective effort behind our remarkable recent success.
