Training: The best from the first week of pre-season

Back in business.

That’s the message from a busy first week of pre-season training at the CFA as City prepare for our summer tour to the USA.

Pep Guardiola’s squad – aided by a number of exciting new summer signings – have been putting in the hard yards ahead of Saturday’s departure across the Atlantic.

City will lock horns with Mexican side Club America next Thursday and German champions Bayern Munich a week on Saturday in Houston, Texas and Green Bay, Wisconsin respectively.

So there was a spring in the players’ steps as they stepped up preparations for both the tour and the 2022/23 campaign following their return from the summer break.

And there were also a few novel twists to some of the training drills!
