The Club amassed a superb haul of silverware and also chalked up a host of new records along the way to securing that success.
In a campaign shoe-honed into a relentless and physically demanding constricted timeframe due the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Pep Guardiola’s first team once more blazed the Premier League trail.
After a quite magnificent domestic campaign, City were crowned 2020/21 Premier League champions to regain the title claim a third championship crown in four seasons.

Our latest success was achieved in some style too, City finishing 12 points clear of nearest challengers Manchester United, having scored more goals (83) and conceded less (32) than any other team.
Meanwhile, City’s iron-clad grip on the Carabao Cup continued apace – our 1-0 triumph over Tottenham Hotspur in April’s Wembley final making it a fourth successive League Cup success for the Club.
Aside from those two significant pieces of silverware, the quality, endurance and all-round excellence of Guardiola’s squad was further amplified by a series of remarkable new English records.
Despite a punishing schedule which saw the side having to play three games a week vitually all season long, City achieved a staggering winning streak across the season, which ran 82 days from December 2020 to March 2021.
During this run, City also broke the records for most consecutive wins by a top-flight English team in all competitions (21); the most consecutive league wins by a top-flight team from the start of a calendar year (13); and equalled our own Club record in going 28 games unbeaten in all competitions.
Guardiola’s squad also established a record run of consecutive away wins in all competitions for a top flight team (20), a Club and English record run of consecutive unbeaten away matches (23) and an English record run of consecutive away league wins (12) during the season.

Furthermore, City also equalled the Premier League record of 19 for the longest run of games without going behind, achieving that distinction between November 28, 2020 and March 2 of this year.
And City established yet another notable English first by winning all nine of our competitive fixtures in January.
That was the most by a team in the top four tiers of English football in a single month since the formation of the Football League in 1888.
City also created more history with both our Elite Development Squad and Under-18s also tasting title triumphs which saw us become the first English club to secure Premier League championship success at senior, Under-23 and Under-18 level.
Our EDS squad side proved dominant throughout a wonderful campaign and eventually finished 14 points ahead of nearest challengers Chelsea to claim what was our first Premier League 2 title.

Liam Delap, who was voted PL 2 Player of the Season, led the scoring honours, finishing with 24 goals – which was the highest goals tally ever recorded by a player at Under-23 level.
And the silverware continued apace at Under-18 level where Carlos Vicens’ talented youngsters retained our Premier League Under-18 North crown in dramatic fashion thanks to a 1-0 win at Burnley on the final day of the season.
City were then crowned Under-18 National champions courtesy of a superb 3-1 win over Fulham in the showpiece final at the Academy Stadium to round off what was a season that no-one at the Club will ever forget.
