Injury news
Pep Guardiola has confirmed he has a fully-fit squad ahead of our final day clash with Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
The boss confirmed that Kyle Walker is in contention for Sunday’s game after recovering from an ankle problem that ruled him out of Tuesday’s defeat against Brighton,
Meanwhile, Guardiola said a decision will be made on Sergio Aguero on Saturday ahead of his final Premier League game for City, after our all-time leading goalscorer returned to training on Thursday.
Joao Cancelo will however miss our Premier League finale after receiving a red card in our last outing away at Brighton.
PEP PREVIEW
Ahead of Aguero’s final Premier League appearance, Guardiola paid tribute to the City number-10.
“First of all I say he’s an incredibly nice and funny person, humble one being the legend he is.
Being from Argentina and in this country where it’s so diffcult to score goals but he’s done it for many years.
“I can’t imagine how many more goals he would have scored if he was able to be fitter than he was in some periods.
“Sunday’s the last game, I’m sure the fans will show for the fans all around the world for Man City, and will give him a tribute to what he has done so far.
“His titles, numbers, performances, incredible.”
FORM GUIDE
City will be looking to bounce from midweek dissapointment in this one after falling to a 3-2 defeat away at Brighton on Tuesday evening in our last outing.
Guardiola‘s team will be looking to continue our impressive form at the Etihad Stadium, after boasting the best home record in the Premier League this campaign.
The Toffees head into the final day of the season with their eyes on Europa League qualification, as they currently sit in eighth, one place behind the final qualifcation spot on goal difference.
LAST MEETING
It was Guardiola‘s side who came out on top the last time the two sides met, winning 2-0 at Goodison Park in the quarter-final of the FA Cup back in March.
A hard-fought performance was rewarded five minutes from time as Ilkay Gundogan netted the opener, before Kevin De Bruyne added a second in the final moments to book a semi-final date at Wembley.
