Our coach will be up against Inter’s Simone Inzaghi and Luciano Spalletti, now of Italy and formerly of Napoli, for the prize.
The winner will be revealed at a ceremony in London on 15 January.
It is our boss’ third successive nomination having also been up for the award in 2022 and 2021. He was also on the shortlist in 2019.
Having led City to an historic Treble in 2022/23, Guardiola has cemented his place as arguably the greatest manager in the history of the game.
He is the only manager to have won two Trebles in European football after also doing so with Barcelona earlier in his career.
Across the 2022/23 domestic season, Pep guided City to a third successive Premier League crown – and fifth title in six years - after we fought back from eight-point deficit on Arsenal at the beginning of April to win the title with three matches to spare.
We then secured our seventh FA Cup crown with an enthralling 2-1 victory over Manchester United at Wembley in the first-ever all-Manchester cup final.
That was followed up by the dramatic events in Istanbul when Rodrigo‘s second-half winner against Inter earned us our first Champions League crown.
A penalty shoot-out win over Sevilla in August saw us lift the UEFA Super Cup for the first time while we have the chance to make it five major trophies in a calendar year at the FIFA Club World Cup in Saudi Arabia next week.
Congratulations to Pep on his nomination and everyone at City hopes to see him win the prize in January.
