Ederson had to come off in the 1-1 draw with Liverpool at Anfield early last month following a clash with Darwin Nunez.
He returned to training on the eve of last Sunday’s 0-0 draw with Arsenal game but wasn’t available either for that game or Wednesday’s 4-1 victory over Aston Villa.
Walker was forced off in the 1-0 England defeat to Brazil at Wembley in the international break and missed both the Arsenal and Villa games.
Ake hobbled off after 25 minutes of the first half against the Gunners and was replaced by Rico Lewis.
Addressing the media at his pre-match press conference, the City boss delivered a more positive update on the Brazilian international but said the defensive duo were still not available for selection.
“Eddie is much better and maybe will be on the list. Nathan and Kyle are out,” Pep revealed.
The boss was also asked about whether Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland, who were both on the bench for the Villa game, would feature in his plans for the trip to Selhurst Park
“I don’t know yet. Playing 12:30 and playing just two days ago, I have to think,” the City boss added.
Guardiola also revealed that he was expecting another hugely demanding test in south London.
The Eagles currently lie in 14th place in the table with the City boss also expressing his admiration for the job done by Oliver Glasner who took charge there earlier this year.
“Always it has been tough. Glasner is doing a really good job.” Pep pointed out.
“They have quality and the other players - good structure they are strong defensively with Andersen leading the back five.
“The physicality was always there. Selhurst Park is difficult always, we know this.”
