The Catalan is City’s most successful manager having won 11 major honours since arriving at the Etihad Stadium after illustrious spells at Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
City would go top of the Premier League with a victory at Fulham on Sunday as we continue our hunt for a fifth title in six seasons and third in a row.
Guardiola’s side also remain in contention for two further trophies, with an FA Cup final date against Manchester United arranged and a Champions League semi-final with Real Madrid around the corner.
Having become one of the greatest managers in the history of the game, Guardiola reiterated how fortunate he feels to have enjoyed the career he has and to still be in contention for more silverware.
“I never expect to live what I’ve lived,” he said.
“When I started in the fourth division with Barcelona and after being promoted to the first division, never in my life did I expect to do it.
“Everything is beyond what I expected and I’m more than grateful to have lived with incredible teams and players this kind of life.
“If people said tomorrow I have to finish my career right now for some reason, I can’t ask for anything else. Anything else. I am so fortunate and privileged.
“It’s a privilege to be at the end of the season fighting for titles is the best feeling that we can have.
“I know that if we don’t win the treble, I know that if we don’t win the Premier League, the season will be a failure but it doesn’t matter.
“We accept that but the important thing is still we’re there and prepared and think about the final of the FA Cup and the Premier League is still in our hands.”
Guardiola has lifted the Champions League twice as a manager, both during his time at Barcelona.
Should he win it again, he will become only the fourth man to have lifted the famous trophy more two times.
This year’s run represents our third successive semi-final in the competition.
While the manager is fully focused on the upcoming Premier League matches with Fulham, West Ham and Leeds, he did suggest the experience of recent campaigns will help his team against Real Madrid.
“You cannot win anything if you don’t think about it,” he said.
“Of course we think about it all of the time. The experience for me doesn’t mean what you done in the past is going to happen in the future but being there many times helps.
“As much time as you can be in quarter-finals, semi-finals, Champions League, FA Cup will be closer. As much you play those games.”
