Aguero, 32, recently returned to the squad after an injury-plagued year that has restricted him to just 13 appearances in the past 12 months.
The Argentine is a bona fide City legend, having scored the Premier League’s most famous goal as we ended our 44-year wait for a league title, before going on to become our greatest-ever goalscorer.
And Fernandinho, the Club captain, has been used more sparingly this term, making 22 appearances across all competitions, but his influence on the side has been exceptional when he has played.
Both players are out of contract in the summer, but with City fighting on four fronts, Guardiola says his focus needs to be on ensuring we secure silverware, meaning discussions about who will stay and who will go are on ice.
“We are going to talk to him [Aguero] as a human being, as a person and, of course, as a player,” he said.
“We will have to see what happens at the end of the season. We cannot forget how long he was out.
“Now he has started getting better. I know he needs minutes to get to his best condition but we are now maybe not in the moment we can give minutes for minutes.
“I think the Club has spoken with his agent and they know the the situation. We will talk at the end of the season - same situation with Fernandinho.

“Now is coming the best two or three months.
“We will decide not just him. Players out of contract maybe will leave. Maybe we’ll loan. Maybe academy players will come up. Maybe we will buy some players, I don’t know how much.
“We will decide at the end of the season.
“Now, honestly, I could tell you an answer that is a lie, but I don’t know what is going to happen. In my mind, right now, next season is far away, as is the project for next season.
“We have worked a lot to be in this position. I don’t want to be distracted. If I am distracted, the players will feel I am distracted.
“I have to be focused on the next game, and then after Fulham, then Champions League, Goodison Park.
“In the international break, maybe I have more time and can think about it.”

Meanwhile, Guardiola says he prefers the pressure of leading, as opposed to coming from behind.
City currently sit 11 points clear at the top of the Premier League table with 10 matches remaining.
And we also remain on course to win all three knock-out competitions.
Asked if he gets nervous at this time of the season with so much at stake, the boss says it’s always better to be out in front.
“I would say I am less nervous being in this position than when you are behind,” he said.
“I was more nervous last season when we were behind Liverpool from November, December.
“It’s the opposite. I am more relaxed than ever, knowing we can still lose the Premier League. There’s never a guarantee.
“Everything we have done here together, we won it. Nobody has given us anything. We won it - every piece of the cake of all the titles we won, we did it for ourselves.
“And this will not be an exception. If we didn’t win the Premier League, it’s our responsibility. It’s because we were not good enough to do it.
“We lost to United because we were not good enough. Doing mistakes we cannot except, in our box and the final third. No more than that.
“If we are 11 points ahead with three games left, in that moment I will say ‘we are the champions’.
“Until that, no chance.”
