Ruben Dias feels City did enough to claim all three points against Spurs but has called for his team-mates to move on from a dramatic 3-3 draw in the Premier League.

It looked like Jack Grealish had earned Pep Guardiola’s men the win that would move us back to within a point of the Premier League summit when the winger slotted home Erling Haaland’s cutback with ten to play.

But Dejan Kulusevski’s powerful stoppage time header ensured a share of the spoils at the Etihad Stadium.

City’s frustration was compounded when play was pulled back deep into added time for a foul on Haaland despite the Norwegian playing the ball in behind for Grealish.

But while Dias admits he and his team-mates are frustrated not to have got the win, there can be no dwelling on that disappointment ahead of a busy festive schedule.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the defender said: “It’s difficult for us. It’s the same feeling as Liverpool - a game we could have won by four or five but in the end, small margins and these things can happen.

“The team did think the performance was good in many levels. Obviously, we conceded the goals but still the attitude, the way we played, the aggression.

“Unfortunately, we couldn’t get the three points, it’s frustrating.

“The only way now is to keep moving forwards.”

Despite that frustration, Dias couldn’t fault the effort and application of his team-mates against Spurs.

In a game of fine margins, City hit the woodwork on four separate occasions, registering 18 shots to the visitors’ eight over the 90 minutes.

But the Portuguese international was full of praise for the way Pep Guardiola’s men approached a difficult assignment.

“Overall, in the game the team was really, really aggressive,” he added.

“Obviously, we can talk about chances that we need to make goals out of, we can also talk about goals we can’t concede but in the end it’s a mix of all of it.

“The feeling we will leave the pitch with today is a bit of a frustrating feeling. I think all of us know the team was there for today and unfortunately, we didn’t get the three points.

“I can be proud of what everyone did because everyone did everything to win the game today.”
