Bernardo Silva put us ahead before late strikes from substitutes Kevin De Bruyne and Oscar Bobb secured a 3-2 win and completed a stunning comeback.
The win saw us move second in the table, two points behind leaders Liverpool and made it six successive victories in all competitions.

King Kev
De Bruyne made his first Premier League appearance in more than five months and showed in 25 minutes why his return has got our rivals concerned.
The Belgian scored a wonderful equaliser with a well-placed strike from 20 yards and another goal to add to a spectacular showreel.
Of his 65 Premier League goals to date, 28 have come from outside the box. Of players to have scored at least 50 in the competition, only David Beckham (55%) has netted a higher share from distance.
De Bruyne then provided the pass for Bobb’s brilliant winner in injury time to secure all three points.
That saw him become the first City player to score and assist in a Premier League game as a substitute since Sergio Aguero against Cardiff in January 2014.
He has also has scored (one) or assisted (three) a goal in all three of his substitute appearances in all competitions this campaign.
Magpies magic
City have a remarkable record against Newcastle, now winning 27 of our last 33 Premier League clashes and losing just once in January 2019.
De Bruyne’s goal was our 100th in the Premier League against Newcastle, the first side we have netted a century against in the competition.
We have scored in each of our last 31 league games against the Magpies, the longest scoring streak one side has had against another in Premier League history.
Newcastle did win 1-0 in the Carabao Cup earlier in the season, but have not beaten City twice in the same season since 1983/84.
Unbeatable Rodrigo
The Spaniard set another incredible milestone when he reached 50 successive games for City without being on the losing side.
And the midfielder can hardly be accused of stat-padding, playing in four finals, and facing Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United home and away during that time.
In attack, Rodrigo is crucial in keeping the ball moving, particularly in a game when City had so much possession of the ball.
City made 747 passes to Newcastle’s 277. Rodrigo made more than half of the home side’s total alone with 144, nearly four times more than Newcastle’s leading passers Kieran Trippier and Fabian Schar on 37.
Oscar winner
The Norwegian’s late strike is one he will remember for a long time as his brilliant moment of skill delivered all three points.
It was his first ever Premier League goal, coming after his first for Norway in November and first City goal in December in the 3-2 Champions League win over Red Star Belgrade.
Still only 20, Bobb became the youngest player to score an injury time winner for Pep Guardiola’s side since Gabriel Jesus, then 19, against Swansea in February 2017.
We fight ‘til the end
City are just the fourth side in Premier League history to have won at least three successive away games despite trailing in each one.
The feat was also achieved by Leeds in October 1999, Tottenham in December 2013 and Manchester United in December 2020.
Bernardo Silva is leading the charge, scoring in three consecutive Premier League away games for the first time since December 2021 and he has now had a hand in eight goals in his last eight games on the road (four goals, four assists).
